How To Sanitize Makeup Brushes – A Few Ways To Make Your Lips And Makeup Sticks Clean

by | Blog

How to sanitize makeup is a common question among beauty conscious women. Although it’s not something you should be anxious about because it’s not a matter of life and death, but rather a simple matter of cleanliness, there are some things you can do to help ensure that your brushes, eye shadows, lip liners, and other beauty products are clean.

And, in fact, if it’s so easy to clean up other types of cosmetics that you can use for your face, why not the other type that’s often left behind when you’re not looking?

The best way to sanitize makeup is to follow the same process as you would to clean any other type of facial product. For example, you can use a mixture of half water, half rubbing alcohol or a homemade alcohol-water solution. You simply mix up one part alcohol, and half water to create a very thin, milky solution. (You don’t want to use rubbing alcohol, which can actually make your eyes look even worse!)

Next, you’ll want to clean out your brushes. Again, this is where rubbing alcohol might come in handy, but you don’t want to use it on your face. Instead, you can try mixing your own hand soap into a spray bottle filled with water. Use the spray bottle to spray your brushes with a mixture of water and soap. This will kill any bacteria and germs on your brushes. This is especially important for makeup tools that you might have left on the bathroom floor or counter, which unfortunately means that any bacteria, germs, and other nasty things were able to make their way onto your face while you were in the shower or while you were brushing your teeth.

To use the mixture described above, you’ll simply spray the brush with the mixture, and then use a cotton swab or tissue to rub in a circular motion across the bristles of your lipstick. Be sure to get in all the nooks and crannies of the bristles. If your lipstick has a lot of curl, be sure to do a circular motion on both sides of the lip. The amount of alcohol you put into your solution depends entirely on how thick you want your coating to be, so experiment to see which variety of alcohol works best.

If you’re having trouble removing your lipstick, try putting some of the rubbing alcohol in a small spray bottle and spraying some of the cleaning agent on any major cracks or tears on your lipstick. The more areas that you can apply this to, the better off you’re going to be. You may also find that you need to add a couple drops of essential oil to the mixture before you’re ready to begin cleaning. Try not to overdo it; just make sure that the area gets as clean as possible. Usually, you can tell when the cleaning product has been sufficient.

Before applying the sanitizing solution to your makeup brushes, dip them in the alcohol for a few minutes to make sure that the solution is completely permeable. While the brushes are wet, dip them in the solution and shake gently to mix the brush parts together. Once you have your brush parts thoroughly mixed, dip them again in the alcohol and shake again until everything is properly combined. Apply the sanitizer to your brushes and gently massage it into the bristles. After this, allow the brushes to dry in the air for a few minutes, then gently brush them to finish cleaning off the sanitizing solution.
